Meditation: The evolvement of awareness that leads to the silent knowing of yourself, and beyond.

Encoded into every modality and philosophy of meditation is an experiential exploration of a part of you that most of us spend very little time with: the deep quiet places within. The transformative power of meditation begins with the daily practice of simply stepping into the silence of this still space.

We offer a program of classes that is open and encouraging to curious beginners while also providing an atmosphere that will deepen and broaden an already established practice.

We also host speakers and presenters offering weekend seminars, classes and events. Topics, dates and times will be posted throughout the year.

Monthly Series of Sitting in Stillness Meditation Class

Tibetan House offers weekly classes on Sitting in Stillness meditation practice. The first Tuesday and Friday of every month will be more of an introductory class for newcomers. It is not necessary to attend the first class in order to come the following classes of the month, although it is recommended. Meditation practice rests on continuity and consistency.   You are welcome and encouraged to participate continually month to month.

Drop-ins are welcome.

Discovering BuddhismThis series was created for anyone wishing to get a taste of the vast and profound subjects of the stages of the path to enlightenment, as presented in a Tibetan Buddhist context.  The series includes teachings with some of the great Tibetan lamas and senior Western teachers of our time.  A clear and accessible presentation of the Mahayana path for beginners and experienced students alike, this thirteen-part series in an excellent resource on its own, or in conjunction with the FPMT Discovering Buddhism study program.
